The Pocket Dipper is a simple, low cost, water level monitoring device that Groundwater Relief is retailing at a cost of £48.50.
It comprises a sealed unit with a buzzer, batteries and a switch. The operator turns on the buzzer and the Pocket Dipper is then lowered down the borehole with surveyor tape. When the buzzer reaches the water table, the sound is dulled allowing the user to measure the depth of the water table. Take a look at this video to see the Pocket Dipper in action.
