Fundraise for Groundwater Relief
Hosting a fundraising event can be good fun and it can also be an opportunity to do something unusual as a team building event.
There are a few ideas below but branch out, be creative and have fun!
Paddle for Water
Do a sponsored paddle of any distance or arrange a paddle trip and picnic and donate the cost of your day out. Use this to make your team building day doubly worthwhile by supporting a charity as you have fun.
Hold a Pot Luck lunch
Do some of your work colleagues, friends or family love cooking? Could you host a pot luck lunch at work or at the weekend and ask participants to donate what the meal would cost in a restaurant?
If you are doing it at lunchtime why not use it as a lunch and learn opportunity or make that team meeting stand out from all the rest?
If you are doing it with friends or family why not make an occasion of it, go for a theme like a Mexican night and donate the cost of the meal.
Wear blue for water
Do you have dress-down days at work? Could you wear blue for water and donate £1 per person. Tag us on social media and use it as an opportunity to share information on water resources that you can find here.
Promise Auction
If you want to go that extra mile and you are looking to hold a big fundraising event why not run a promise auction? This is a great idea for companies and sports clubs or creative groups to do something different and find out about others.
Everyone promises to donate something and it will be bid on by others. Everyone can get involved so everyone promises something and bids to win something special. Examples can include:
- Lawn mowing
- Artwork
- Deliver a cooked meal or bake a cake
- DIY skills or painting
- A desk clean
- Wash a car
