The Drilling Course - Developing Groundwater
Are you a water engineer who needs to know more about siting and construction of water wells?
Is hydrogeology part of your job but you would like more of a practical understanding of drilling and pump test supervision?
Learn about groundwater, water well siting, well design and drilling supervision in a humanitarian or development context during this intensive and highly practical 3 day course. Run in collaboration between Groundwater Relief and University of Birmingham’s MSc hydrogeology department, with additional support from WJ Drilling, you will have as much hands-on experience as possible led by renowned specialists.
Running from 6th to 8th November 2024 within University of Birmingham’s Edgbaston Campus, you will see a borehole being drilled and pump tested.
DAY 1: Site Assessment and Borehole Design
DAY 2: Supervision and construction of a water well
DAY 3: Borehole completion and Borehole Testing
