On behalf of the Pharo Foundation, Groundwater Relief carried out a groundwater assessment at four sites in the Gabiley District, Somaliland. The purpose was to ascertain the potential for the construction of irrigation wells to improve crop production for local farming communities.
The assessment found a Nubian Sandstone filled graben within the crystalline rock with the potential to support irrigation wells. Further exploration work is ongoing.
